Pre-N Coming to Dell Notebooks in Q3 2006

“Even though the full 802.11n spec hasn’t been ratified, it’s not stopping manufacturers from shipping products using the draft standard. Despite concerns Dell is going ahead with plans to release notebooks in Q3 that utilize 802.11n draft standard wireless modules.”

Of course, it’s been well over a year since I was sitting down with Belkin execs reviewing their pre-N product set, the first to market, so who knows exactly why it is taking so long for the players at the table to come to agreement on a ratification.
