Recycle Your Dell - Free Home Pickup

October 2nd, 2006

Dell Computer has launched its new recycling program this past weekend which includes free pickup .

Those of you who are either environmentally conscious of the fact that your PC’s contain harmful materials which should not go straight into a landfill, or have attempted to dispose of an old computer in an area which enforces regulations on the disposal of computers, know how difficult and unwise it can be to toss away that old clunker of a pc (or printer, or toner, or…).  Many computer manufacturers, including Dell, have had recycling programs for a while now, particularly mail-order vendors, but for the most part the programs had so many requirements like a new purchase, shipping back the old PC, paying for the privelege, etc. that it was just too much effort.  So our kudo’s go out to Dell for their new program.

Simply go to their site, enter the serial number of your Dell PC or product, printer or toner at the web site to schedule a no-charge home pickup and environmentally-friendly disposal. See Dell Recycling for more information.

Looking for an alternative? Donate your old stuff that’s still working to the National Cristina Foundation to help give people with disabilities and students at risk access to technology also through Dell.
